Everyone Loves Nemo!

Western Clown Fish are cute little fellows, except they aren’t always fellows, in fact, the most visible ones are the females. As you approach an anemone underwater you will notice anywhere from 2 to about 4 clownfish darting around in its tentacles. These usually range in size from very tiny to about 2-3 inches in length with the breeding females being the larger more aggressive of the bunch. If anything happens to the female in the group the largest male has the capability of changing sex to take her place.

In Lipe we have a lot of Clownfish, just snorkeling off our beach you have the possibility of seeing hundreds, and you will almost certainly encounter one on every dive! They are fascinating little creatures to watch!
